What is Sand Etching?
Sand Etching is the process of using controlled high-pressure compressed air to direct an abrasive at a materials surface. As the abrasive comes in contact with the material surface, the surface is gradually eroded away. When this process is used in conjunction with unique templates it is easy to create a wide range of designs and logos with fantastic detail and durability.
Economical:
KMI's Sand Etching process allows our customers to receive the highest quality, low volume, custom graphics at the lowest possible cost. Setup charges for this process are less than the standard silk-screening process used by other manufacturers.
Sharper Images:
The Sand Etching process is clearer and sharper than the traditional silk-screening or other labeling processes. Using multi-stage templates very detailed 3D effect designs and logos can be created. The detail is absolutely phenomenal.
Durability:
Because Sand Etching recesses the image into the material surface it is more durable than typical convex processes. When painted, the concave colors are far less likely to rub off, smear or chip.
Multiple Colors:
Colors are incorporated into the process using multi-stage templates. A wide range of colors are available possibly including custom colors to match your company logo exactly.
Logos:
All we need is camera ready artwork of your logo and we take care of the rest. We challenge you to compare the detail and durability of your company logo using Sand Etching vs. silk-screening or other labeling processes.
Flexible:
Sand Etching is highly flexible and limited only to the customers imagination. Almost anything that can be photographed can be etched.
Changes:
Changes are quick and easy. Need to make a change? Simply re-photograph and E-mail the artwork to us.
